What is this project?

Manko-chan is a crocheted character created by Rokudenashiko, based on the Japanese slang word Vulva. Participants add their own faces and become part of a collective artwork created by 10,000 people around the world.
A Manko is a Human Face. Manko is a Japanese slang word for vulva. This project turns a taboo into a portrait of humanity.
